2018 University Exhibition

Fujifilm XT1 Photographs, 2017

These are photographs that I turned into placemats for my 2017 Ceramics final years work. The exhibition focused on the disconnection that we as humans have towards meat as animals. Meat bought in store is removed from the customer by not including the facial features of the animal, or the skin, the feet or even the feathers or fur. The reason for this is because humans can relate to that. Customers would be turned off or feel guilt in buying meat that still maintained these aspects that reminded them that the meat was once a living animal just like themselves.
